General Accountabilities
The Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution of the organization’s internal and external communications initiatives through the development of high-quality communications, presentations, and corporate content that inform, engage, and connect employees and external audiences. Reporting to the Communications Lead, this role partners with departments across the organization to translate complex business, operational, and technical information into clear, compelling, and audience-focused communications.
The Communications Specialist serves as a trusted communications resource, managing internal communication channels, supporting social media and digital communications, maintaining and updating the CSV website, and partnering with business units to develop presentations, business cases, briefing materials, and leadership communications. The role also provides communications support for organizational initiatives, change management activities, and community engagement efforts while ensuring consistency with the company’s brand, voice, and strategic priorities.
This role requires a highly organized, collaborative, and creative communications professional with strong writing skills, sound judgment, and critical thinking abilities. Key Accountabilities:
Corporate Communications Support
- Execute internal and external communications strategies, initiatives, and communication plans in alignment with organizational priorities.
- Draft, edit, and proofread a wide range of communications materials, including employee communications, leadership messages, business updates, reports, presentations, announcements, and corporate publications.
- Develop clear and compelling content tailored to a variety of audiences across the organization.

Content Management

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, English, Political Science, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a corporate communications, public relations, marketing, employee communications, or related role is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint) and experienced using social media platforms, content management systems, and other digital communication tools.

The Health and Safety Advisor partners closely with operations to support the safe, reliable execution of work across field sites. The Health and Safety Advisor supports the effective implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Safety Management System by working alongside operations to ensure processes are practical, understood, and consistently applied. Through regular field presence, the role develops a strong understanding of site operations, equipment, and procedures, identifying opportunities to strengthen safety practices and enhance overall performance.
This role enables Creating Shared Value, ensuring that safe operations are embedded into how work is performed every day. By partnering directly with field teams, the role helps prevent incidents, protect people, and maintain regulatory compliance, while also improving operational efficiency and reliability. Key Accountabilities
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to operations staff on leading and lagging indicators and reporting.
- Review and audit of safety inspections completed by Operations to ensure quality and consistency.
- Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) activities.
- Assist in the development, review and continuous improvement of Safe Work Practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Codes of Practice (COPs).
- Partner with operations to ensure safe work permits (including hot work and confined space) are properly issued, received and closed.
- Support the administration and management of safety orientations.
- Confirm site training requirements, including ticket validation.
- Work with operations to audit the Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) system, ensuring procedures and documentation meet standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing Site Specific Safety Plans.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of control processes aligned with regulatory and company expectations, including:
- Supporting safety management system assessments.
- Supporting risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Participating in incident investigations and follow-ups.
- Developing and sharing safety lessons learned across the organization.

Education and Experience Requirements

Health and Safety Advisor
Position Title: Day Foreman
Location: Albright Gas Plant
Reports to: Gas Plant Coordinator
The Asset:
The Albright facility is a 1st-class plant located near the communities of Beaverlodge and Wembley. The Albright Gas Plant serves the growing sour natural gas processing needs of multiple producers with Montney and Charlie Lake production in the region and significantly enhances CSV’s existing platform of natural gas processing infrastructure in Alberta’s prolific Montney play. With natural gas processing capacity of 150 million cubic feet per day, Albright recovers and conserves up to 370 tonnes of sulphur per day and is the first greenfield gas plant with sulphur recovery to be constructed in Alberta in nearly 30 years.
Overview:
The Day Foreman will be responsible for the daily operations of the asset. This includes all aspects of plant production, maintenance, and ongoing leadership and direction for the plant operators.
The Day Foreman (Lead Operator) is expected to work a 4×3 schedule, working days.
Please note that this is not a camp position. Must be willing to relocate to Grande Prairie if not already living in the area.
Key Accountabilities:
The Day Foreman will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on operational leadership and technical guidance to Gas Plant Operators to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility performance
- Serve as a primary point of support for troubleshooting plant issues, resolving complex processes and equipment challenges, and coordinating with Engineering and Maintenance as needed
- Demonstrate strong safety leadership by promoting hazard awareness, supporting risk assessments, and reinforcing safe work practices across all operations
- Ensure full compliance with company HSE standards, regulatory requirements (including ABSA and AER), and site procedures, addressing and communicating any deficiencies promptly
- Monitor plant performance and support optimization efforts to maximize production while maintaining cost effectiveness
- Maintain and continuously improve operating procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence across all shifts
- Actively participate in Management of Change (MOC) processes, providing operational input, supporting implementation, and ensuring proper documentation and communication
- Support planning and execution of plant activities including startups, shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning events to ensure safe and efficient outcomes
- Coordinate with Maintenance teams to align operational and maintenance priorities, including supporting work execution and equipment reliability initiatives
- Mentor and coach operators, reinforcing technical competency, knowledge sharing, and consistent operating discipline
- Oversee critical operational activities including sampling, inspections, and regulatory log management to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety performance, reliability, and operational effectiveness
- Provide alternate coverage for Chief Steam Engineer and/or Plant Coordinator when required
- Perform other related duties as required
Education and Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must be a 3rd Class Power Engineer as a minimum qualification. Preference will be given to candidates with a 1st Class or 2nd Class Power Engineer certificate.
In addition, the successful candidate will have:
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience operating within a gas processing environment
- Strong technical expertise in areas such as sulphur recovery, gas compression, gas treating (sweetening), refrigeration systems, condensate stabilization, steam production, and water treatment processes
- Proven capability to diagnose and resolve complex process and equipment issues while identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and ongoing improvement
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience mentoring, coaching, and positively influencing team members’ development
- Excellent communication abilities, with a track record of effective collaboration across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and Health & Safety functions
- High level of professionalism, sound decision-making, strong organizational capabilities, and a consistent focus on operational excellence

Position Title: Shift Lead Operator (3rd Class Power Engineer)
Location: Karr Gas Plant
Reports to: Day Foreman
General Accountabilities:
The Shift Lead Operator works under general direction from the Day Foreman and/or the Plant Coordinator and has the knowledge, experience and required skills to operate all plant equipment and processes safely and effectively at the Karr Gas Plant. The Shift Lead Operator will monitor and review plant processes, operate equipment and recognize potential plant operational problems. The incumbent will take preventive and/or remedial actions to ensure production and safety goals are met in accordance with CSV’s standards.
The CSV Karr Gas Plant is a 3rd class facility located approximately 70km South of Grande Prairie. The shift lead will work a 7-day on/7 days off cycle, alternating days and nights, consisting of 12-hour shifts. The Karr gas plant is off-grid and powered by two Siemens Natural Gas turbines. Sour gas is processed using Amine trains, refrigeration and dehydration units. Please note that this is not a camp position. Must be willing to relocate to Grande Prairie if not already living in the area.
Key Accountabilities:
The Shift Lead Operator will be accountable for the following:
- Is fully competent in the startup, shut down and operation of the gas plant facility. Closely monitor plant levels, pressures, temperatures, and flows, relaying any deviations as required.
- Understands control room functions and activities including monitoring field and gas plant processes through communication and on-site surveillance. Make appropriate decisions to adjust levels, pressures, temperatures and flows as needed, including starting up or shutting down equipment to maintain operating efficiencies and production nominations.
- Provides leadership to the operating team and supports the training and development of team members to ensure safe, consistent, and effective operations.
- Maintains ongoing production logs to ensure key communications between operating shifts.
- Maintains awareness of shutdown schedules with maintenance and contractors to minimize production loss and maximize process efficiency.
- Coordinates process adjustments and changes with senior operating staff, to establish design parameters and set criteria for good operating practice.
- Understands and troubleshoots process upsets, taking corrective action as needed.
- Makes accurate judgements on starting and stopping rotating equipment to maintain overall production efficiency when placing them online or off-line.
- Understands and maintains all design limit control devices in an operational and functional manner.
- Takes immediate corrective action in any process deviation to maintain facility integrity and efficiency.
- Assists with the preparation of overhauls and routine maintenance projects as needed.
- Performs water / lab testing.
- Can recognize and safely remove hydrates.
- Performs routine surveillance on plant operations in a timely fashion.
- Accurately traces process flows according to facility drawings.
- Accurately records and relates process deviations according to log sheet readings.
- Conducts all activities following Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Education and Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a 3rd class steam ticket, preferably with experience working in a gas plant. A High School Diploma, a GED, or a combination of education and experience is preferred.
