Chris Dutcher

VP – Corporate Development

Chris Dutcher

I have spent more than 25 years in the midstream sector, building my career from hands-on engineering and field work into senior leadership roles focused on growth and strategy. I developed a strong operational foundation through project and facility experience before completing an MBA at Queen’s University to broaden my commercial perspective. I went on to hold senior roles with some of Canada’s largest midstream companies, where I led the turnaround of an underperforming organization, guided companies through rapid growth and successful sale, and originated opportunities totaling more than $3 billion in organic projects and over $6 billion in mergers and acquisitions.

In my role, I focus on identifying and advancing opportunities that align with the company’s long-term objectives and values. Creating Shared Value shapes how I evaluate growth, structure partnerships, and pursue development. I believe strong performance comes from disciplined execution, clear accountability, and building opportunities that benefit employees, partners, and the communities connected to our work. That alignment between strategy and responsibility is what drives my approach.

Outside of work, I value time with my wife and our three boys. We enjoy traveling, spending time in the Rockies, and following professional sports together. Those experiences keep me grounded and reinforce the importance of building something meaningful and sustainable over the long term.
