Sam Lamontagne

My career spans over 20 years across Canada’s energy and midstream sectors, grounded in facilities engineering and long-term asset performance. I have worked directly in the design, construction, and commissioning of energy infrastructure, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and execution discipline. My experience includes leading project and engineering teams through front-end design, development planning, and delivery across gas processing, compression, and SAGD facilities. I approach engineering with the belief that facilities must be accessible and designed for real operations, resilient through upsets, and adaptable as demands change over decades.

My focus at CSV is building strong, scalable engineering standards that support disciplined project execution and consistent performance as the company grows. Creating Shared Value is reflected in how we design and deliver infrastructure, through clear ownership, shared standards, and governance that enables safe operations, reliable performance, and responsible deployment of capital. I am proud of the team behind this work, and the role engineering plays as a long-term differentiator for CSV and the partners and communities we work with.

Outside of work, I value time with family and the opportunity to travel, both of which help keep perspective and reinforce long-term thinking. I am also proud to support my children’s swim clubs and the commitment, teamwork, and community it represents.
