About CSV Midstream Solutions

From our first plant to a regional network, our foundation is one team building reliable infrastructure with long-term community benefit.

CSV Karr

Our story

CSV Midstream Solutions is an energy infrastructure company with operations across northwestern Alberta, focused in the Grande Prairie and Upper Peace River region. We design, build, own, and operate midstream facilities, gathering systems, and pipelines that keep producers connected to reliable market access.

What sets us apart is how we build and operate.

Engineering, construction, and operations sit on the same bench, so the people who design a project are the people who build it and run it. That continuity keeps decisions practical and performance-focused.

We develop infrastructure for the long-term, so how we build matters as much as what we build. That’s why our work is guided by Creating Shared Value, the belief that infrastructure affects land, people, and communities for decades. It keeps decisions grounded, driving business results while supporting the regions we operate in.

Over time, this has shaped a regional backbone of gas processing capacity and market connections across northwestern Alberta. Each of our gas plants plays a distinct role, and together they provide reliable options, capacity where and when it’s needed, and clear paths to market. That combination of reliable infrastructure, integrated teams, and Creating Shared Value is what defines CSV.

TIMELINE

Our history

CSV’s story began in 2019 with a single gas plant. Today, it has grown into a network of gas plants across northwestern Alberta, each connecting producers into broader pipeline networks. Our growth reflects more than scale. It reflects a commitment to integrity, safety, and creating long-term value for producers and communities alike.

CSV Resthaven
2014

CSV Midstream is founded in Alberta with a clear goal to build midstream differently and put Creating Shared Value at the centre.

2018

Resthaven comes online as CSV’s first greenfield gas plant, delivering 100 MMcf/d of sweet gas processing. It proves the delivery model and establishes a strong operating presence in the region.

2019

Pipestone South enters service near Grande Prairie with sour gas compression, dehydration, and condensate stabilization. CSV also acquires the Karr gas plant and begins work to scale it.

2020

Karr expansion is completed, reaching 150 MMcf/d of sour gas processing with 30,000 bbl/d of liquids handling. The upgrade increased plant capacity and broadened service for producers.

2022

Planning and early construction began on Albright, a 150 MMcf/d sour gas facility with sulphur recovery. It was Alberta’s first new greenfield sour gas recovery project in more than three decades.

2023

Simonette and Valhalla join the portfolio, adding 120 MMcf/d of sweet gas and 55 MMcf/d of sour gas capacity. The additions extend CSV’s footprint across northwestern Alberta and expand processing options for producers in the region.

2025

Albright enters service. The plant adds modern sour gas processing with sulphur recovery, strengthens CSV’s presence across the region, and opens additional paths to market.

TODAY

Six facilities across northwestern Alberta provide processing capacity and reliable connections to market.

Creating Shared Value

Creating Shared Value is how we connect strong business performance with positive impact that lasts for generations.

It means looking at every project through a broader lens and asking how our operations can strengthen local economies, build skills, and improve environmental outcomes while delivering reliable midstream infrastructure.

By aligning what is good for our business with what is good for the region, we create long-term value that benefits our customers, our partners, and the communities around us.

What sets us apart

01

One team

Engineering, construction, and operations work side by side from the start. Design choices are shaped with operations input and carried forward through shared standards and responsibility. The intent of the build shows up in how the plant runs and lets our team respond quickly when producers need something done.

02

A regional backbone

We focus on northwestern Alberta. Our portfolio of gas plants across Grande Prairie and the Upper Peace River region provides reliable options, capacity where it is needed, and clear paths to market.

03

Reliability you can plan on

CSV’s network includes sweet and sour gas processing, compression, dehydration, condensate stabilization, and sulphur recovery. As the network has grown, so has our ability to share lessons across sites and keep capacity available when producers need it.

04

Creating Shared Value in action

Creating Shared Value guides how choices get made. We weigh business performance alongside long-term regional benefit so projects work for CSV, producers, and for the communities where we operate for years to come.

Connect to Your Future

CSV is growing, and every step forward depends on people who bring integrity, skill, and pride to their work. Join a team where what you do today strengthens communities, supports producers, and builds the foundation for tomorrow.
