Position Title: Field Administrative Assistant
Reports To: Operations Superintendent
Location: Grande Prairie, AB
General Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, this position will support the operations and maintenance team at our local facilities.
Key Accountabilities:
The Field Administrative Assistant will:
- Enter all work orders into the cost tracker
- Update cost tracker with tickets when received
- Reconcile paid invoices to work orders and update cost tracker
- Circle back and upload any required documents into Roughneck work orders
- Work with suppliers to improve compliance with invoice submissions
- Ensure tickets are received in a timely fashion
- Identify problem vendors and resolve coding issues
- Verify costs against rate sheets, work orders (WOs) and master service agreements (MSAs) to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with the Calgary Executive Assistant to organize the annual Grande Prairie Christmas parties and other social events
- Provide administrative support to the field Leadership team as required (i.e.: organizing and taking minutes at meetings)
- Support Fleet Coordinator with pool vehicle repairs & maintenance
- Scan and electronically file all handwritten reports (i.e.: safe work permits, equipment logs, cathodic checks, calibration reports)
- Retrieve, deliver and send mail and couriers
- Assist with requested deliveries to landowners or field locations
- Work with Plant Coordinators on community engagement and volunteer opportunities
Education and Experience requirements:
Skills and experience needed to be successful in this role will include:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role in oil & gas
- Experience with Qbyte accounting, Open Invoice, Roughneck or similar programs
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Advanced time management skills to balance competing priorities
- Analytical thinker with attention to detail
- A proactive, positive and collaborative attitude and the willingness to adapt to various situations
- Cooperative approach, willingness to deal with new and complex situations
- A Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Position Title: Gas Plant Operator
Reports To: Plant Coordinator
Location: Albright and Karr Gas Plants (near Grande Prairie, Alberta)
Note: We are building a candidate pool for future vacancies.
General Accountabilities:
The Gas Plant Operator will be responsible for contributing to the successful operation of the CSV-owned Gas Plant. The operator will work a 7 days on/7 days off cycle, alternating days and nights, consisting of 12-hour shifts. Please note that this is not a camp position. Must be willing to relocate to Grande Prairie if not already living in the area.
The CSV Albright Gas Plant is located near the communities of Beaverlodge and Wembley. The Albright Gas Plant will serve the growing sour natural gas processing needs of multiple producers with Montney and Charlie Lake production in the region and will significantly enhance CSV’s existing platform of natural gas processing infrastructure in Alberta’s prolific Montney play. With natural gas processing capacity of 150 million cubic feet per day, Albright will also recover and conserve up to 370 tonnes of sulphur per day and will be the first greenfield gas plant with sulphur recovery to be constructed in Alberta in nearly 30 years. Completion is expected in early 2025.
The CSV Karr Gas Plant is a 3rd class facility located approximately 60km South of Grande Prairie. With natural gas processing capacity of 150 million cubic feet per day, sour gas is processed using amine sweetening, refrigeration and dehydration for the recovery of NGL (C3+) products. The Plant is capable of processing both crude oil and condensate (C5+) products. Acid gas from the sweetening process is blended with sour raw gas and sent to third - party facilities for further processing. The plant is off-grid and powered by two Siemens Natural Gas turbines.
Key Accountabilities:
The Gas Plant Operator will be accountable for the following:
- perform routine operational equipment surveillance, equipment start-up’s and shutdowns
- perform process and equipment troubleshooting
- optimize processes for efficient operation
- manage trades/contractors during scheduled and unscheduled services and repairs
- operate the facility in a safe, economical and efficient manner
- perform housekeeping and maintenance activities
- manage facility production on a daily basis
- participate as a team member and provide mentorship to peers as required
- conduct all activities following Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
- uphold CSV’s values and place a focus on safety
- other duties as assigned
Education and Experience requirements:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a 4th class steam ticket, registered or eligible to be registered with ABSA, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a gas plant.
In addition, the successful candidate will have:
- excellent communication skills, have a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, team environment
- strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- the ability to adapt to the varying demands of the role
- excellent working knowledge of MS office
- experience with natural gas compression, refrigeration, dehydration, amine and condensate stabilization, as well as acid gas injection (required)
- familiarity with all aspects of the operations and established procedures
- familiarity with work order programs and SCADA related programs
- a Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Position Title: Financial Accountant
Reports To: Controller
Location: Calgary
General Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for supporting the preparation of financial statements and assisting with key financial reporting tasks. This role is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with oil and gas industry experience who is working towards, or recently completed their CPA designation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist the Controller in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory standards.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Collaborate with operational teams to gather, analyze, and verify financial data for reporting purposes.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing accruals and performing variance analyses.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary financial data and documentation.
- Prepare management reports and contribute to financial forecasts and budgeting activities as required.
- Research and analyze IFRS accounting issues including new accounting pronouncements as they arise and ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current accounting standards, practices, and industry regulations.
- Various ad-hoc requests as required
Working Conditions:

- Must be comfortable commuting to the CSV office in downtown Calgary
Experience and Skills:
- Three to five years of applicable industry or public practice experience.
- Recently completed or is actively enrolled in the CPA program and progressing toward designation.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Ideal candidates will have experience with midstream oil and gas accounting.
- Experience with Qbyte or equivalent oil and gas accounting software is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and general ledger accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
