Daniel Clarke

Daniel Clarke is a Professional Engineer with 20 years of experience in engineering design and executive management, and holds a Certificate of Strategic Management (Harvard). He has a proven track record of entrepreneurial leadership. Through a clear vision and strategic management of growth, he consistently delivered client satisfaction and shareholder value, while developing an unmatched internal culture and community. Through his many years in engineering, procurement and construction management, he sponsored and/or executed several successful projects ranging from smaller installations to contemplated projects in excess of $500 million. In his position, Daniel guided staff development and retention strategies that resulted in minimal turnover, while building an elite engineering services company, from concept to over 100 employees, in just over a decade.

David Boone

David Boone has over 35 years of technical and executive experience in the Canadian and international upstream oil and gas industry. The first two decades of his career were spent in a variety of technical, project management, operations management and executive roles with Imperial Oil in Western Canada, the Arctic, and on loan to ExxonMobil working internationally. He joined PanCanadian Petroleum as Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer in 2000. He remained with that company through its merger into EnCana Corporation, where he was President of the International and Offshore Division. After co-founding a private oil and gas company, building and selling it, he served as President & CEO of Barrick Energy Inc., a wholly-owned oil and gas subsidiary of Barrick Gold Corporation, leading the sale of the division in 2013.

David holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University. As well, he is a graduate of the executive MBA program at the Darden Business School, University of Virginia. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta and past Chairman of the Canadian Association of the World Petroleum Council. He serves on the board of directors of WesternZagros Resources, Tundra Oil & Gas and The Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology. He is also a member of the Alberta Council for the Trans Canada Trail.

Richard M. Alexander

Richard M. Alexander has over 35 years of oil and gas industry experience, and is currently President and Chief Executive Officer at Parallel Energy Trust. Previously, he served in several executive roles with AltaGas Ltd., a midstream services company, including President and Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice-President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Working with oil and gas companies, from 2003 to 2006 he was Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer with Niko Resources Ltd., and from 2001 to 2003 served as Vice-President of Investor Relations and Communications at Husky Energy Inc.

Richard serves on the board of directors for numerous private, public and not-for-profit entities, including Oryx Petroleum, Global Water, Parallel Energy Trust and Marquee Energy. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Ryerson University and is a Certified Management Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst.

Richard Bower

Richard Bower has been a Professional Engineer within the oil and gas industry of Alberta since 1973. He has extensive expertise in the design of gas plants and oil production facilities. In 1984, he formed a highly successful engineering consulting firm, BDR (Bower Damberger Rolseth Engineering), which provided project engineering and management services to the oil and gas industry.

Over the past 22 years, Richard has led the design and construction of more than 4000 facilities in Western Canada and South America. Projects have ranged from oil facilities, sweet and sour gas processing facilities, turbine-driven power generation and cogeneration, SAGD facilities, water treatment, and sour gas re-injection facilities. Capital budgets for these facilities have exceeded $500 million. On numerous projects, he led the development of innovative technology, design and execution strategies that set benchmarks for others in the industry. Presently, he is a partner in ABC Engineering, providing similar engineering services to those of BDR.

Greg Beard

Greg Beard is a Senior Partner of Apollo Management. He joined Apollo’s New York office in June 2010 as the Global Head of Natural Resources. Previously, he spent 10 years at Riverstone Holdings as a founding member, Managing Director and lead deal partner in numerous principal investments in energy and oil and natural gas service. While at Riverstone, he was involved in all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, structuring, monitoring and exiting transactions. He began his career as a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he played an active role in energy-sector principal investment activities. Greg has served on the board of directors of many oil and natural gas companies, including Apex Energy, Athlon Energy, Belden & Blake Corporation, Canera Resources, Cobalt International Energy, Double Eagle Energy, EP Energy, Legend Natural Gas I – IV, Mariner Energy, Phoenix Exploration, Titan Operating, Talos Energy, Pinnacle Agriculture, NRI Management Group and Vantage Energy. He has also served on the board of directors of various oilfield service companies, including CDM Max, CDM Resource Management and International Logging. Greg received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana.

Wilson B. Handler

Wilson B. Handler is a Principal of Apollo Management and joined the firm in 2011. Prior to joining Apollo, he was an investment professional at First Reserve, involved in the execution and monitoring of investments in the energy sector. Previously, he worked in the Investment Banking Division at Lehman Brothers in the Natural Resources group. Currently, he serves on the board of directors of Athlon Energy, CSV MIDSTREAM and EP Energy. Wilson graduated from Dartmouth College with an AB in Economics and Government.

Rakesh Wilson

Rakesh Wilson has been a Partner of Apollo Management since 2009. Previously, he was with Morgan Stanley’s Commodities Department, as part of the principal investing group responsible for generating, evaluating and executing investment ideas across the energy sector. He began his career at Goldman Sachs in equity research and then moved to its investment banking division in New York and Asia. Rakesh currently serves on the board of directors of Athlon Energy, CSV MIDSTREAM, EP Energy, Jupiter Resources and Talos Energy; previously, he also served as a director of Parallel Petroleum. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and received his Master of Business Administration from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.

David Sevalrud is a partner at Carscallen, LLP—a corporate, M&A, banking, and oil and gas law practice—where his expertise includes providing independent legal advice to boards and directors in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.

Over the last 30 years, David has served on a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit boards, including the boards of several junior public and private energy companies; the independent director and chair of Cimarron Engineering Ltd.; the boards of the Calgary, Alberta and National MS Societies; and several minor hockey association boards, as well as Hockey Alberta.

David has Business (Accounting Major) and Law Degrees from the University of Calgary. He is also a graduate of the Directors Education Program at the Haskayne School of Business and maintains the ICD.D designation.
